Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She then worked as an anchor and morning reporter for WCBD TV. O'Dell's stories in Charleston regarding the police's tolerance when it comes to DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to investigate. This led to state authorities issuing more strict rules in these instances. Ms. O'Dell received recognition from the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. O'Dell's experience in Charleston was the reason she joined as co-anchor and investigative reporter and anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Prior to she joined Access Hollywood she was a weekday co-anchor as well as NBC's weekend co-anchor. In addition to her current role as anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and also contributes to Dateline NBC. She's been a reporter for The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. She also co-hosted The Miss USA pageant as well as the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
